How We Work
Last updated: April 2026
Source Requirements
Every Beatintel article is based on at least one primary source — a press release, official statement, industry report, or coverage from an established outlet (Billboard, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, NME, Music Business Worldwide, etc.). We link to our sources. We do not publish stories we cannot source.
AI in Our Editorial Process
We use AI to generate article drafts from sourced news items. AI handles structure and initial prose; a human editor reviews every draft before publication. The editor is responsible for:
- Verifying that facts match the primary source
- Removing or correcting any AI-generated inaccuracies
- Ensuring the article adds genuine editorial value beyond the source
- Approving the headline, excerpt, and takeaways
We do not publish AI-generated content without human review. For more detail, see our AI disclosure page.
Corrections Policy
Errors happen. When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections appear at the top of the relevant article with a note describing what changed and when. We do not silently edit articles after publication. To report an error, email info@beatintel.io with the article URL and the correction.
Conflicts of Interest
Beatintel operates under the same company as Sonx, an AI music generator. We disclose this in our About page and whenever a Sonx mention appears in an article. We do not accept payment for coverage, and we do not alter editorial decisions based on advertiser interests.
What We Do Not Cover
Beatintel covers music: releases, touring, streaming data, industry business, and music technology. We do not cover musicians' personal lives, health stories, or political views unless directly relevant to a music story.
