Anna German moved to Poland with her mother during World War II. She began her music career in the late 1950s and quickly gained traction. In 1964, she won her first major award at the Sopot International Song Festival. Her international breakthrough came in 1967 when she participated in the Sanremo Music Festival in Italy, performing "Gi."

A Diverse Repertoire

Throughout her career, German released several albums, showcasing her ability to sing in various languages. Her album "Człowieczy los" (The Fate of Man), released in 1970, included some of her most well-known hits. In addition to her success in Europe, she achieved popularity in the USSR, where she was one of the first Polish singers to record an album in Russian.

Legacy and Commemoration

Despite her untimely death in 1982, German's music continues to be celebrated. Her life and career were dramatized in the 2012 Russian-Polish television series, "Anna German: The Mystery of White Angel."
