AI Artists on the Billboard Charts: 19 Acts, Ranked by Peak (2026)
Which AI artists have been on the Billboard charts?
At least 21 AI or AI-assisted acts have reached a Billboard chart. The highest peak is Fenix Flexin's "Rubberz" at No. 58 on the Hot 100 (2026). Breaking Rust's "Walk My Walk" was the first fully AI-generated song to top a Billboard chart (Country Digital Song Sales, November 2025), and Eddie Dalton's "The Years Between" spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on Blues Albums in 2026. This list ranks 19 acts and was last updated in October 2026.
Top 10 at a glance
In October 2025 Billboard counted at least six AI or AI-assisted artists that had reached its charts in a few months. A year later the count is at least 21, and in 2026 the first AI-made track reached the Hot 100. Almost all of these runs happened on sales and genre charts (digital song sales, gospel, country, blues, Afrobeats), where a few thousand downloads can be enough for a high position. That is also where the rules now differ. Since July 2026, official charts run by IFPI and its national groups in more than 30 countries exclude recordings that are not substantially human made. Billboard took a different path in August 2026: it said it will identify AI-generated songs on its charts and in its coverage, not ban them. This list ranks 19 acts by their highest Billboard peak, with the chart and date. It leaves out an act built on impersonating a politician and a political tribute song. Chart facts come from Billboard's own reporting and sources that cite its charts.
Rubberz · Billboard Hot 100, No. 58 (2026)

The highest Billboard peak tied to an AI-made track and the first AI-generated song on the Hot 100, according to Stereogum. It also reached No. 5 on Rhythmic Airplay in August 2026. Fenix Flexin is a human rapper, not an AI persona: a detector from the AI music company Treblo rated the track "very likely" made with its model, and he later said he "never said I didn't use AI".

How we ranked this list
Acts are ranked by their highest position on any Billboard chart, with the main Hot 100 first, then No. 1 placements, then lower peaks; ties are broken by weeks at the peak and chart size. An act is included when Billboard counted it among AI artists or when its AI involvement is confirmed by the artist or credible reporting. Chart positions come from Billboard's own reporting and from sources that cite Billboard's charts. Two acts are left out by editorial choice: one built on impersonating a politician's voice and one political tribute song.
Frequently Asked Questions
Has an AI song been on the Billboard Hot 100?
Yes, by most accounts. Fenix Flexin's "Rubberz" reached No. 58 on the Hot 100 in 2026, and Stereogum called it the first AI-generated song on the chart after a detector rated it very likely AI-made. Fenix Flexin is a human rapper, and he has not detailed how much of the track was AI.
What was the first AI song to reach No. 1 on a Billboard chart?
Breaking Rust's "Walk My Walk", which spent two weeks at No. 1 on Country Digital Song Sales in November 2025. Xania Monet had topped R&B Digital Song Sales two months earlier, though her songs combine human-written lyrics with AI-generated vocals and music.
Does Billboard allow AI songs on its charts?
Yes. In August 2026 Billboard said it would identify AI-generated songs on its charts and in its coverage rather than exclude them, and its data provider Luminate announced labels for AI-generated songs. Official charts run by IFPI and its national groups in more than 30 countries took the opposite approach and exclude recordings that are not substantially human made.
Why do AI songs chart mostly on sales and genre charts?
Digital sales charts react to a few thousand downloads, sometimes fewer, and genre charts such as gospel, Christian and blues have smaller volumes than the Hot 100. That is where AI acts first broke through.
How many AI artists have charted on Billboard?
At least 21 AI or AI-assisted acts by October 2026, up from at least six in Billboard's own count in October 2025. Most entries are on digital sales and genre charts; the only Hot 100 entry tied to an AI-made track is Fenix Flexin's "Rubberz".
Which AI artists have been on the Billboard charts?
Fenix Flexin & Purps on the Beat, Breaking Rust, Xania Monet, Eddie Dalton and The Second Voice lead Beatintel's AI Artists on the Billboard Charts: 19 Acts, Ranked by Peak (2026) — the first five of 19 ranked artists. Every entry below carries a one-line case for its place, and the list was last updated in October 2026.
